What is a Community Ambassador?

Community Ambassadors serve as activists, both virtual and in person, promoting the collective work of C4. They offer their lived experience, connection to place, and community knowledge. C4, through our ambassadors, connects community initiatives to funding, technical resources, access to leaders, and opportunities for shared leadership. Ambassadors will continuously develop leadership within the community and will provide the opportunity for self-determination, small-scale climate adaptations, justice campaigns.

C4 will contract with cohorts of 6-12 people, every 6-12 months, from GR neighborhoods of focus, to receive training and organize neighborhood campaigns. Ambassadors will continuously develop leadership within the community and will provide the opportunity for self-determination, small-scale climate adaptations, justice campaigns. The ambassador position is paid ($18/hr) and has the support of the larger C4 team to work with. Prior deep knowledge of climate change science is not required, but understanding that climate justice is social justice and is an important perspective to hold for Ambassadors.
