Community Collaboration on Climate Change (C4) is excited to announce the launch of our search for a Climate Justice Program Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization at the forefront of advancing environmental justice, climate resilience, and community-led solutions in Greater Grand Rapids.

As C4 continues to expand its programs and partnerships, we are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven professional who is passionate about building community power and creating lasting environmental and social impact.

The Climate Justice Program Manager will play a vital leadership role in implementing C4’s strategic priorities by overseeing community programs, cultivating partnerships, supporting grant implementation, and advancing resident leadership throughout our service area.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will help:

• Lead innovative climate and environmental justice programs that create measurable community impact.
• Launch and facilitate C4’s Community Climate Ambassador Program Cohort #2, empowering residents to become neighborhood leaders and advocates for climate action.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with residents, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and community stakeholders.
• Support community engagement efforts that ensure residents are at the center of climate decision making.
• Manage grant-funded initiatives, monitor program outcomes, and communicate organizational impact.
• Advance equitable climate solutions that improve public health, strengthen community resilience, and expand environmental opportunities for historically underserved communities.

Position Details

Position: Climate Justice Program Manager

Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000 annually (Independent Contractor)

Location: Hybrid, Grand Rapids, Michigan
